dc.description.abstractObjectives of the study  To find out the extent of Technophilia among Higher Secondary School students in the total sample and the relevant sub samples based on Gender, Locale of student and Type of management of schools.  To find out the extent of Social Interaction among Higher Secondary School students for the total sample and the relevant sub sample based on Gender, Locale of student and Type of management of schools.  To find out whether there exists significant difference between Technophilia and Social Interaction among Higher Secondary School students  To find out whether there exists any significant relationship between Technophilia and Social Interaction among Higher Secondary School students for the total sample and the sub samples based on Gender, Locale of student and Type of management of schools. Methodology Method : Survey method Sample : 770 Higher Secondary School students of plus one class from Malappuram and Calicut districts. Tools Employed : Technophilia Assessment Scale and Social Interaction Scale. Statistical techniques : Preliminary statistical techniques, Test of significance of difference between means (t-test) and Pearson’s product moment of coefficient of correlation. Result The result revealed that there exists a positive relation between Technophilia and Social Interaction among Higher Secondary School students for the total sample and the subsamples.en_US
