Abstract: OBJECTIVE  To analyse the perception of teacher educators on the quality of educational researches in Kerala.  To develop a quality criteria for scientific researches in education. METHODOLOGY Method : Survey method. Sample : 8 Adjudicators, 53 Supervising teachers and 47 research scholars Tool : Interview and perception scale on quality of educational research Statistical technique: Percentage analysis RESULT A total number of nineteen criteria were identified as important for quality of educational research and the perception of teacher educators on research in Kerala with respect to these criteria was studied. Most of the teacher educators consider that these criteria are present in the educational research in Kerala but the extents of these qualities are limited. Majority of teacher educators feel that many of the criteria are not satisfied by the research works in Kerala KEY TERMS : Perception, teacher educators and educational research.
